An educational journey into decaf ending in the world’s largest live coffee tasting!

A Unique Opportunity

For the first time ever, you will be able to taste the same coffee that has been decaffeinated three different ways, alongside the caffeinated version. If you’re curious about decaf or coffee - then this will be a lot of fun!

How The Project Works

We sourced 16 tonnes of coffee, in collaboration with Caravela Coffee. This was split into 4 lots and 3 were sent for decaffeination at different facilities:

These coffees were then sent to participating roasters around the world, so you can buy a set (hopefully) local to you.

Then there’ll be a live tasting on December 15th 2024, streamed on the YouTube Channel.

The Introduction

We visited Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee in Canada, to show you how they use water to extract the caffeine, while keeping all the flavour inside the coffee.
